Waffles with Cassels Woolston Pale Ale


20 g baking powder
500g plain flour
150g sugar
250g butter
35ml of milk
150mls of Cassels Woolston Pale Ale
3 eggs
½ tsp icing sugar

Waffles with Cassels Woolston Pale Ale Recipe


  • Mix the flour and the baking powder in a bowl, add the sugar and put to one side
  • Melt the butter in a pot, once melted, mix in the milk, pour in the beer and put to one side
  • Separate the eggs. Whisk the egg whites until stiff
  • Add the yolks to the flour, sugar and baking powder
  • Add the butter, the milk, and the beer
  • Add the egg whites, mix well until smooth
  • Heat up the waffle iron. Grease it using oil. Bake the waffles
  • Place onto a plate, sprinkle a little icing sugar, serve with berries (or whatever topping you love on waffles)
