We’ve entered ourselves in the McClures Great New Zealand Toasties Takeover and we’re on a mission to take out the top spot!
May we introduce the Croque Monsieur. It may have a fancy name, but this French dish is known to Kiwi’s as the humble ham and cheese toastie.
Our Croque Monsieur features Bellbird Bakery Bread (a loaf made specially for the competition), aged ham, Gruyere, smoked cheese and a serve of sweet and spicy pickles. Topped off with a Cassels Pilsner and McClure pickle Bechamel and you have perfection.
We’re pretty sure you’ll be coming back for seconds!
Judging commences 13 April and concludes 21 June. On 22 June the Finalists will be announced. In early July the second round of judging commences. And on 27 July the Supreme Winner will be announced!
