Christchurch brewery Cassels has come out on top again at the World Beer Awards – this time for its Cassels American Pale Ale.
The brew won the title of World’s Best Pale American-style Pale Ale in the overall Pale Beer category at the 2021 event.
It’s the third consecutive year of success for the family-owned brewery at the awards: Cassels won World’s Best Milk Stout in 2020, having won the same award in 2019 with the same beer, as well as Best Overall in the Stout & Porter category.
It was the only New Zealand beer to feature in the 2021 winning line-up at the World Beer Awards, which judge and recognise the best in internationally recognised beer styles and design excellence.
Earlier this year, Cassels APA was awarded in the Top 30 at the New World Beer & Cider Awards.
